One of the most prestigious tournaments of Andhra Cricket Association- ACA Women Under-19 Inter Zonal Tournament 2018 has started on 4th Aug.’18 at Guntur.
Out of the three participant teams, an interesting match was played between North Zone (U-19) and South Zone (U-19) on 11th Aug.’18 at JKC Ground- Guntur.
Electing to bat, North Zone (U-19) made 84 runs in 25 overs by losing 7 wickets. Highest scorer was M Durga, who made 22 runs off 29 balls with 4 boundaries. Despite trying well, team did not manage to score at fast pace. Sai Lakshmi S from South Zone (U-19) bowled extremely well and picked 2 wickets in 5 overs giving only 14 runs. K Hamsa too performed well and took 2 important wickets restricting opponent at a low score.
While chasing, P. Pallavi and P Aishwarya Rai gave South Zone (U-19) a stable start by scoring 15 and 22 runs respectively. It was followed by a good innings by V Sravani, who made 25 runs off 28 balls helping team reach at the score of 87 runs without any hassle. South Zone (U-19) managed to achieve target in just 19 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Sarayu from North Zone (U-19) with 2 wickets.
South Zone (U-19) won the match by 6 wickets against North Zone (U-19) in ACA Women Under-19 Inter Zonal Tournament 2018.
Sai Lakshmi S from South Zone (U-19) was awarded as player of the match for her outstanding contribution.
