Infinite Independence Cup 2018 was played between 13th May’18 to 29th Jul.’18 at Bengaluru.
Held at Ajmera Infinity Sports Ground- Bengaluru, the crucial final of this tournament was played between Saint Warriors and Har-Fun- Maula Boys on 29th Jul.’18.
Har-Fun-Maula Boys won the toss and elected to field. Proving the decision right, they bundled up Saint Warriors in just 65 runs. Only 2 players managed to score in double digits were Shashwat and Sahil Girdhar, who made 26 and 19 runs respectively. Almost all the bowlers of Har-Fun-Maula Boys performed well but pick of the lot was Rahul Pathak, who scalped 3 wickets in just 0.5 overs giving only 2 runs.
Since the target was not very difficult to defend, Har-Fun-Maula Boys managed to achieve it in 7.4 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. Amitesh Ranjan gave team a good start as he scored 25 runs off 23 balls. He was well assisted by Rahul Pathak from the other end, who smashed 26 runs in just 12 balls with 4 boundaries and 1 six. Their partnership helped Har-Fun- Maula Boys reach at the score of 66 runs in 7.4 overs.
Har-Fun-Maula Boys registered a glorious 7 wicket win over Saint Warriors in the final of Infinite Independence Cup 2018.
Rahul Pathak from Har-Fun- Maula Boys was awarded as player of the match for his excellent performance.
