P I M S 1 won MCPL 2k17 trophy after defeating G M C H in an interesting match on Sunday at Shikarbadi Cricket Ground, Udaipur.
In the final, G M C H won the toss and elected to field first. Decision turned out to be the plus point for P I M S 1 as the team reached to a good score of 130/5 in 15 overs. Vikram 24(22) and Rajesh Chaudhari 21 (29) gave a good start with 45 runs of partnership. Good batting line up helped the team in giving a good defending target. Bowling highlights of the inning was Vaibhav Nandkani, who took 2 important wickets by giving only 14 runs in 3 overs.
In chasing the score of 131, G M C H had good run rate from the start. Strong partnership of 53 runs between Purvesh Bhrambhatt 22 (19) and Pankaj Chaudhary 26 (26) made things a little difficult for P I M S 1 in the beginning. However the regular fall of wickets afterwards restricted the team at 116/4 by the end of 15 overs making P I M S 1 the champions of MCPL 2k17 tournament.
