The Medical Cricket Premier League (MCPL -2k17) flagged off on 16th June 2017 at Shikarbadi Cricket Ground Udaipur.
On 16th June 2017, three league matches were played, brief details of which are:-
Match-1 P M C H 2 VS V.S.N. (Result – V.S.N. won by 7 wickets)
V.S.N. won the toss and elected to field first. The decision to bowl 1st was proved truthful as they managed to take wickets at the regular intervals. The opponent team wind up at the score of 105/10 in 14.4 overs. But a wonderful inning by Anupam who scored 40 runs in 30 balls helped P M C H 2 to close their inning at a decent score of 105.
While chasing a target of 106, though P M C H 2 bowlers took the first wicket in just 10 runs, partnership between Mukesh Vyas 38 (39) & Anokhi Lal 29 (24) took their team towards victory. V.S.N. chased a target of 106 runs in 14.4 overs at the loss of 3 wickets and won.
Match-2 : P I M S 2 V/S PMCH Team 1 (Result – PMCH Team 1 won by 7 wickets)
P I M S 2 decided to bat 1st after winning the toss. PMCH Team 1’s wonderful bowling restricted P I M S 2 at 96 runs in 15 overs. P I M S 2 could reach to this score because of good batting from Deep Modi 20 (21), Naman 24 (20) and Siddhant 15 (17) . The best bowling figures from PMCH Team 1 were Pavan Chaudhari and Pavan SDPT who took wickets in the crucial overs.
While chasing a simple target of 96 runs, the team lost their 2 wickets in 34 runs at 4.2 overs. But the match went in favour of P M C H Team 1 with excellent batting from Aman Bhatt who scored 49 runs in just 27 balls. That led the team chasing the target in just 10.2 overs by losing 3 wickets and won the match.
Match-3 : R N T V/s G M C H (Result – G M C H won by 3 wickets)
R N T won the toss decided to bat first. The team had a good batting line up, despite of losing 1st wicket in just 9 runs they coped up with attacking shots and reached at 108/5 in 15 overs. Mahendra Shekhavat 34 (33), Rames Meena 20 (18), Suraj 16 (15) and Kishan Sharma 20 (11) were the major highlighters from R N T.
While chasing, G M C H did not get a good start losing wickets at regular interval. However, the good batting line up with a great striking rate kept the team in the strong position and leading it towards the win. Highest scorers from the team were Purvesh Bhrambhatt who scored 22 (23) and Devendra Mirdha whose score was 24 (13).
