NTR Memorial Cricket Tournament 2018 was organized between 5th July’18 to 15th July’18 at Kuppam.
28 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament. An all-important final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Daring Boys Rallabuduguru and Power Boys Kpm on 15th July’18 at NTR Sports Complex, Kuppam.
Power Boys Kpm won the toss and elected to field. Proving their decision right, they bundled up Daring Boys Rallabuduguru at 88 runs in 16 overs. Amanu was the main contributor, who helped team reach at that score as he added useful 35 runs in 26 balls during crucial overs. Jay was the other player, who managed to reach at double digit score and made 14 runs in 13 balls. Rest of the players dismissed in single digits and team ended up at the score of 88 runs. Chief wrecker was Vinod Kumar from Power Boys Kpm, who scalped 4 wickets in 3 overs resulted in early collapse of Daring Boys Rallabuduguru. He was well-assisted by Kuppi, who also picked 3 important wickets damaging the batting line up of opponent team completely.
While chasing, despite getting a poor start, Power Boys KPM chased down the target in 10.2 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. After an outstanding bowling performance, Vinod Kunar shone again with bat by scoring highest 24 runs in 13 balls. Pick of the bowlers was Jay from Daring Boys Rallabuduguru, who managed to pick 2 wickets in 3 overs.
Power Boys Kpm won the final of NTR Memorial Cricket Tournament 2018 by 6 wickets against Daring Boys Rallabuduguru.
Vinod Kumar from Power Boys Kpm was awarded as the player of the match for his match winning performance.
