KPL 9- Khatushyamji Premier League 2018 was organized between 25th Jun.’18 to 10th Jul.’18 at Sikar.
Out of the 7 participant teams, an all-important final was played between Shyam Knight Riders and Kings XI Khatushyamji on 10th Jul.’18 at Bagchand Stadium- Sikar.
Kings XI Khatushyamji won the toss and elected to bat. The decision did not seem to go much in their favour as Shyam Knight Riders posted a good score of 178 runs in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. Team got a very good start with opening batsmen Rajveer Singh Rathore and Mahesh Adhikari scoring 54 and 14 runs at fast pace. Vishal Singh too played a very good innings and added helpful 39 runs in 15 balls during crucial overs helping team reach at a good score. Most of the players contributed well in putting up a big score for the final. Jamshed Ali from Kings XI Khatushyamji bowled well and picked 3 wickets in 4 overs giving 20 runs.
While chasing, Sushil Meena and Anmol Meena gave Kings XI Khatushyamji a good start by scoring 21 and 17 runs respectively at fast pace. The other major contributor was Virendra Dara with 23 runs. However, team lost some important wickets in middle overs as majority of the players were dismissed below 20 runs and team failed to score at required rate. Team ended up scoring 131 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets.
Shyam Knight Riders recorded a 47 run win over Kings XI Khatushyamji in the final of KPL 9- Khatushyamji Premier League 2018.
Vishal Singh from Shyam Knight Riders was awarded as the player of the match.
