Star Boys Day Cricket Tournament 2018 (Tennis Ball) was organized between 2nd Jun.’18 to 8th Jul.’18 at Gandhinagar.
Out of the 46 participant teams, an all-important final was played between Fatepura Jay Chamunda XI and No Tension XI - GEB on 8th July’18 at Ramkatha Ground- Gandhinagar on 8th July’18.
Electing to bat, Fatepura Jay Chamunda XI posted a competitive score of 100 runs in 16 overs by losing 6 wickets. Major contributors were Devendra and Maito, who scored 30 and 28 runs respectively at fast pace. Ankit Patel from No Tension XI- GEB was the pick of the bowlers, who picked 2 wickets in 2 overs giving 10 runs.
While chasing, No Tension XI- GEB got a good start with opening batsman Vishnu scoring 38 runs off 21 balls with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes. Hasmukh Bharwad too played a good inning and scored unbeaten 20 runs off 20 balls leading team towards the target. Almost all the players contributed well for the final chase and team managed to reach at the target in 13 overs by losing 4 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Ketan Patel from Fatepura Jay Chamunda XI with 2 wickets.
No Tension XI - GEB recorded a 6 wicket win over Fatepura Jay Chamunda XI in the final of Star Boys Day Cricket Tournament 2018.
