4th Friends Sports Mix-Corp Cup-2018 was organized between 17th Mar.’18 to 1st July’18 at Greater Noida.
15 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament from which, an-all important final was played between NDCC Team and Aroomya Tea on 1st July’18 at Friends Sports Cricket Ground - Greater Noida.
Electing to bat, NDCC Team came with strong batting line up with majority of the players scoring at fast pace. Dharminder and Toni were the highest scorers with 30 and 29 runs respectively. Other players too contributed well and team posted a good score of 164 runs in 19.4 overs after losing all the wickets. Sonu from Aroomya Tea bowled really well and scalped 4 wickets in 3.4 overs. Shiv too chipped in with 2 important wickets restricting the pace of opponent team.
While chasing, it was not smooth sailing for Aroomya Tea as team started to lose wickets from early overs. Though opening batsman Jeet Chowdhary started well by scoring 22 runs off 25 balls, he failed to get good support from the other end. However,Sachin Bhati, who came to bat on 7th position tried really well and added 33 off 28 balls with 1 boundary and 3 sixes. But none of the other players managed to cross 10’s and team collapsed making 98 runs in 14.1 overs.
NDCC Team registered an easy 66 run win over Aroomya Tea in the final of 4th Friends Sports Mix-Corp Cup -2018.
