Clean Sweep By Maharashtra Tigers In Final

One of the most prestigious tournaments of India - Indian Wheelchair Premier League 2018 was organized between 21st Jun.’18 to 24th Jun.’18 at New Delhi.

6 teams from different states of India participated in this tournament, from which the finalist teams were Gujarat Fighters and Maharashtra Tigers. A crucial final between these teams was played on 24th Jun.’18 at Bal Bhawan International School Ground, Dwarka - New Delhi.

Maharashtra Tigers won the toss and elected to field. Proving their decision right, team bowled really well and started to take wickets from early overs. Mukesh Tyagi was the highest scorer from Gujarat Fighters, who made 47 runs off 33 balls with 9 boundaries. The other 2 players, who managed to reach at double digit scores were Captain Laxman and Bhavan Bolia with 18 and 10 runs respectively. Rest of the players were dismissed below 10 and team ended up at a reasonable score of 102 run in 15 overs by losing 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Santosh Ranjagane from Maharashtra Tigers, who picked 2 important wickets in 3 overs.

While chasing, Maharashtra Tigers batsmen were on fire as both Parshuram Desle and Ganesh Shelar smashed 69 and 24 runs respectively at fast pace taking their team straight towards victory. Team achieved the target in just 7.5 overs with no loss. Parshuram Desle’s contribution was massive as he scored 69 runs in just 30 balls with 14 boundaries and 1 six.
