1st S.S. Pathak Memorial Departmental Premier League T-20 Cricket Tournament (DPL) 2018 was played between 2nd Jun.’18 to 24th Jun.’18 at Jaipur.
Out of the 10 participant teams, an all-important final of this much cherished tournament was played between D.T.A. and Jaipur HQ.
Electing to bat, D.T.A. played a wonderful innings and posted 173 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 4 overs. Sudhir top-scored with 48 runs off 37 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Other major contributors were Jitendrakumar Shersiya and Upmaneeu with 36 and 34 runs respectively. Pick of the bowlers was Prahalad from Jaipur HQ with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Jaipur HQ started well with opening batsman and Captain Vilok Vinayak smashing 36 runs in 21 balls with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes. However, team went on losing wickets at regular intervals, which slow down their pace. Dinesh Bhati too tried well and added helpful 28 runs at fast pace. Sudhir from D.T.A. shined again with bowl as he picked 3 important wickets in 4 overs hampering the batting line up of Jaipur HQ badly. Narendra Singh Bijarniya and Dilip too chipped in with 2 wickets each restricting the rivals from reaching at the target. Jaipur HQ collapsed at the score of 139 runs in 17.1 overs.
D.T.A. displayed an all-round performance and registered 34 run win over Jaipur HQ in the final of 1st S.S. Pathak Memorial Departmental Premier League T-20 Cricket Tournament (DPL) 2018.
