Gulali Cricket Premier League 2018 was organized between 12th May’18 to 24th Jun.’18 at Jaipur.
12 teams from various verticals participated in this much cherished tournament, from which the final was played between Spartans (JG) and Ujjwal (NCL) on 24th Jun.’18 at Jaipuria Cricket Academy Ground- Jaipur.
Ujjawal (NCL) won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, team started well with opening batsman Sitaram Dhaka scoring 45 runs off 31 with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes. Rohit Verma and Narendra Meena too contributed well and added 22 and 18 runs respectively. However, remaining players failed to prove their mettle as most of them were dismissed below 10 runs and team collapsed at the score of 148 runs in 16.5 overs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Rahul Verma from Ujjawal (NCL), who scalped 4 wickets in 4 overs restricting Spartans (JG) from putting up a big score.
While chasing, Ujjwal (NCL) gave a very good fight but failed to score at required pace. Rahul Nimhal played a very good innings and scored 60 runs off 38 balls with 7 boundaries and 4 sixes. Rahul Verma supported well from the other end by adding 21 runs off 22 balls. However, wickets fell in quick successions after his dismissal and team crumbled making 142 runs in 19.4 overs. Rohit Verma was the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 important wickets in 4 overs.
Spartans (JG) recorded 6 run win over Ujjwal (NCL) in the final of Gulali Premier League 2018.
Rohit Verma from Spartans (JG) was awarded as the player of the match for his all-round performance.
