Out of the 37 participant team, an all-important final was played between Sampa XI and Ultimate Warriors- B on 21st Jun.’18 at Rajpath Club Ground- Ahmedabad.
Electing to bat, Sampa XI posted a competitive score of 150 runs in 19.5 overs by losing all the wickets. Top scorer was Dharmendra Mandalia, who scored 39 runs off 33 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes. The other major contributor was Utpal Vaidya with 33 runs. However, wickets fell in quick succession after dismissal of Dharmendra Mandalia and team crubled at the score of 150 runs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Biren Shah from Ultimate Warriors- B, who picked 4 wickets in 4 overs resulting in early collapse of Sampa XI.
While chasing, Ultimate Warriors- B had a good start with both the opening batsmen Kunal Saheba and Rahul Sood scoring 25 and 46 runs respectively at good pace. However, show stealer was Nandan Patel, who smashed unbeaten 58 off 29 balls with 3 boundaries and 6 sixes helping his team achieved the target in 18.3 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Sameer Sud from Sampa XI with 2 wickets.
