One of the most cherished tournaments of Ahmedabad- Sports Club 19 to 39 Years Platinum organized by Sports Club was played between 7th May’18 to 20th Jun.’18.
Out of the 10 participant teams, an all-important final was played between Team Shivang and Team Jay on 19th Jun.’18 at Sports Club- Ahmedabad.
Electing to bat, Team Jay played a wonderful innings and posted 186 runs in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Almost all the players scored at fast pace but highest scorer was Aadit Shah, who made 32 off 16 balls with 6 boundaries. The other major contributors were Neel Shah and Devay Surti with 30 and 28 runs respectively. Pick of the bowlers was Udeet Shah from Team Shivang with 3 wickets.
While chasing, Team Shivang started well with opening batsman Rahil Shah scoring 30 runs off 18 balls with 6 boundaries. He was well assisted by Rajan Shah from the other end, who made 31 runs off 20 balls. Udeet Shah too played a good innings and added 31 runs in 23 balls. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Team Shivang chased down the target in 17.4 overs by losing 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Anuj Vasant from Team Jay, who picked 2 wickets in 4 overs.
Team Shivang displayed an all-round performance and recorded 4 wicket win over Team Jay in the final of Sports Club 19 to 39 Years Platinum.
Udeet Shah from Team Shivang was awarded as the player of the match.
