Rakesh Agrawal (Chandwaji Wale) Memorial U-13 Cricket Tournament (Jaipur) 2018 was organized between 10th May’18 to 18th Jun.’18 at Jaipur.
Out of the 8 participant teams, an all-important final was played between Vijay Sports Team and Kodai Cricket on 17th Jun.’18 at Aarvali Cricket Stadium - Hatoj, Jaipur.
Vijay Sports Team won the toss and elected to bat. Team did not manage to score freely against the strong bowling attack from Kodai Cricket. Highest scorers were Nakul Gandhi and Harsh Yadav, who made 31 and 30 runs respectively. Apart from them Vijendra (21) was the only player, who managed to reach up to double digit score. Team collapsed at the score of 114 runs in 38.4 overs. Exceptional bowling from Aditya Tak was the main reason behind Vijay Sports Team’s poor performance as he picked 3 important wickets in 8 overs giving only 13 runs restricting the opponent at a low score. Aviraj Gupta, Jatin Saini and Khushal Saini too chipped in with 2 wickets each hampering the batting line up of Vijay Sports Team badly.
While chasing, despite facing some early blows, Kodai Cricket chased down the target in 33.3 overs by losing 3 wickets. Stable partnership between Manan Bhadada (47) and Naman Sharma (38) had been instrumental in the final win. Bowling highlight of the innings was Nikhil from Vijay Sports Team, who picked 2 wickets in 8 overs giving 17 runs.
Kodai Cricket recorded a glorious 7 wicket win over Vijay Sports Team in the final of Rakesh Agrawal (Chandwaji wale) Memorial U-13 Cricket Tournament (Jaipur) 2018.
