Summer Cup (Gandhinagar) 2018 was ornganized between 7th Apr.’18 to 9th Jun.’18 at Gandhinagar.
Held at Sector-15 Ground, the crucial final of this tournament was played between GNC Risers and Aryans on 9th Jun.’18.
Aryans won the toss and elected to field. Proving their decision right, they bundled up GNC Riser at a meager score of 79 runs in 19.3 overs. Highest scorer was Alok with 15 runs, where none of the players managed to go beyond 10’s. The chief wrecker was Rohan Shah from Aryans, who rattled the rivals with 5 wickets in 4 overs giving only 10 runs. Kiren Vora and Sandip Gajjar too contributed well picking 2 wickets each.
During their chase, despite facing an early blow in the form of Sandeep Gajjar, Aryans chased down the target in just 15.1 overs. The brilliant 63 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket between Nilesh Bambhaniya (22) and Deepak Rawat (34) helped team reach very close to the final score. GNC Risers gave a good fight taking wickets at regular intervals. However, Aryans managed to score of 80 runs in 15.1 overes by losing 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Mitesh Kanojiya from GNC Risers, who bowled extremely well and picked 4 wickets in 4 overs giving only 8 runs.
Arayns registered a 3 wicket win over GNC Risers in the final of Summer Cup (Gandhinagar) 2018.
