2nd Ashwani Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament Under 16+19 was organized between 3rd Jun.’18 to 11th Jun.’16 at Meerut.
Out of the 15 participant teams, an all-important final of the tournament was played between CVPS Yellow and Dadichi Cricket Academy on 11th Jun.’18 at CVPS Ground 1- Meerut.
Electing to bat, CVPS Yellow got a wonderful start by in-form Captain Arpit Baliyan, who scored blazing 107 in just 35 balls with 9 boundaries and 11 sixes. The other major contributor was Anshuman with 80 runs off 36 balls. With these excellent batting performances, team posted a massive score of 273 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Though none of the bowlers from Dadichi Cricket Academy were able to restrict CVPS Yellow’s run-flow, Mohit managed to pick 2 wickets in 4 overs.
While replying, Dadichi Cricket Academy fired in unison with almost all the players contributing well in the final chase. Opening batsmen Aas Mohammad and Adhiraj smashed 28 and 25 runs respectively at fast rate. It was followed by fiery innings from Rituraj and Aadil, who scored 53 and 64 runs in 17 and 31 balls respectively taking team to a strong position. However, team started to lose wickets at regular intervals after Shivam Chaudhary’s (31) dismissal, which reduced their pace and team ended up scoring 236 runs at the end of 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Harshit Chaprana from CVPS Yellow, whose 4 important wickets during crucial overs led his team towards final win.

Arpit Baliyan from CVPS Yellow was awarded as the player of the match, who performed exceptionally well in both the matches played on 11th Jun.'18.
In Semi-final against CVPS Blue, which was played during the first half, Arpit Baliyan smashed 199 runs in just 63 balls with 10 boundaries and 24 sixes, where in posted 107 runs in 35 balls in the final against Dadhichi Cricket Academy.
