Saraf Bazar Premier League 2018 was played between 8th Jun.’18 to 11th Jun.’18 at Gulbarga.
Out of the 7 participant teams, the final of this much cherished tournament was played between Chatrapati Shivaji Kings and Shree Veer on 11th Jun.’18 at University Ground- Gulbarga.
Electing to bat, Chatrapati Shivaji Kings started well with opening batsman Raghu scoring 51 runs off 37 balls with 2 boundaries and 3 sixes. However, remaining players failed to go beyond 10’s and team ended up scoring 94 runs at the end of 12 overs by losing 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Sangamesh Sherikar from Shree Veer, who scalped 3 wickets in 3 overs.
While replying, despite getting poor start- Shree Veer gave a good fight till the last over but failed to score at required rate. Mounesh Poddar (25) and Nagaraj (12) were the only players, who managed to reach to double digit scores and team collapsed at the score of 90 runs at the end of 12 overs. Chief wrecker was Raju Bhosle from Chatrapati Shivaji Kings, who picked 4 wickets 3 overs. Santosh Misal too chipped in with 2 important wickets restricting Shree Veer from reaching at the target.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Kings recorded a 4 runs win over Shree Veer in the final of Saraf Bazar Premier League 2018.
