One of the most celebrated tournaments of Surat - Hindu Talpada Kori Patel T-20 Cricket League- 2018 was organized between 14th May’18 to 6th Jun.’18.
Out of the 8 participated teams, the final of this heavily followed tournament was played between Nanived Super Kings and Sai Sarkar Icchapor on 5th Jun.’18 at N K Cricket Ground- Surat.
Electing to bat, Nanived Super Kings did not manage to score very well as all the players were restricted below 20 runs and team collapsed at the score of 98 runs in 19.2 overs. Highest run-getters were Rakesh Patel and Ajit Patel with 19 runs each. Hiren Malgama from Sai Sarkar Icchapor bowled exceptionally well and picked 4 wickets in 4 overs giving only 11 runs. Amit N Patel too chipped in with important 3 wickets confining the opponent at a low score.
After a disappointing batting performance, Nanived Super Kings did a strong come back with effective bowling strategy and excellent fielding, which wrapped up Sai Sarkar Icchapor at just 82 runs in 18.3 overs. Divyesh D Patel (29) and Mithun K Patel (11) were the only players in Sai Sarkar Icchapor, who managed to reach to double digits. All the bowlers of Nanived Super Kings performed very well but pick of the lot was Divyesh C Patel with 2 wickets.
Nanived Super Kings registered a comfortable 16 run win over Sai Sarkar Icchapor in the final of Hindu Talpada Kori Patel T-20 Crickcet League- 2018.
Rakesh Patel from Nanived Super Kings was awarded as the player of the match.
