Ojas Cup T-20 Tournament 2018 was played between 29th Mar.’18 to 6th Jun.’18 at Jaipur.
10 teams from various cricket academies participated in this tournament, from which the final was played between GR Cricket Academy and Surana Cricket Academy on 6th Jun.’18 at Ojas Cricket Ground- Jaipur.
Electing to bat, GR Cricket Academy found themselves in trouble before Mohammad Aman, who came to bat on 5th position and posted 19 off 16 balls. Gurkeerat and Abhishek Kaul too added 31 and 25 runs respectively at fast pace, which helped them post 123 run in 18.4 overs after losing all the wickets. Shubham Sharma from Surana Cricket Academy rattled the rivals with 6 wickets in 3.4 overs giving 15 runs. Shubham Meena too picked 2 wickets damaging the batting line up of GR Cricket Academy restricting them from scoring well.
While chasing, Surana Cricket Academy got a good start with opening batsmen Aftab Uddin and Mahesh Adhikari scoring 14 and 39 runs respectively at fast pace followed by Prashant Yadav’s unbeaten 35 off 41 balls. However, team lost couple of wickets in quick succession during middle overs when Vikas Kumar Meena, who came to bat on 10th position added useful 19 runs off 12 balls steered team towards victory in last over. Team scored 126 runs in 19.1 overs by losing 8 wickets. Lakhan Gurjar and Harvendra Dhakad from GR Cricket Academy bowled really well taking 3 wickets each made Surana Cricket Academy struggle till the end to win the final.
On a day when the bowlers ruled the roost, Shubham Sharma’s five-star bowling display helped Surana Cricket Academy register a 2 wicket win over GR Cricket Academy in the final of Ojas Cup T-20 Tournament 2018.
