SPL Under 25 Cricket League 2018 was organized between 26th May’18 to 5th Jun.’18 at Solapur.
8 teams from different verticals participated in this much celebrated the tournament. Held at Indira Gandhi (Park) Stadium- Solapur, the final was played between Sukhkarta Realty Strikers and Gulmohar Udyog Samuh on 5th Jun.’18.
Gulmohar Udyog Samuh won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Sukhkarta Realty Strikers posted a good score of 149 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets. Opening batsman and Skipper Nikheel Madas played an exceptional innings as scored 93 runs off 68 balls with 6 boundaries and 5 sixes. The other major contributor was Rahul Manjeli, who added important 28 runs in 20 balls helped team reach at a decent score. Pick of the bowlers was Nadeem Shaikh from Gulmohar Udyog Samuk, who scalped 3 important wickets in 4 overs restricting opponent from putting up a big score.
While replying, despite losing wickets at regular interval, Gulmohar Udyog Samuh chased down the target in 18.4 overs. Most of the players contributed well but highest run-getters were Saeed Jahagirdas and Ishwar Patange with 45 and 40 runs respectively. Team reached at the score of 152 runs in 18.4 overs by losing 6 wickets.
Gulmohar Udyog Samuh registered a comfortable 4 wicket win over Sukhkarta Strikers and remained unbeaten throughout SPL Under 25 Cricket League 2018.
