Advino SPL-3 was organized between 22nd May’18 to 3rd Jun.’18 at Ahmedabad.
Out of the 26 participated teams, the crucial final of this much cherished tournament was played between Surgical Spartans and Radio Hectors on 3rd Jun.’18 at MK Farms, Ahmedabad.
Surgical Spartans won the toss and elected to bat. Opening batsman and Captain of the team, Dr, Shaishav Patel was at his best as his smashed 86 runs off 44 balls with 5 boundaries and 7 sixes. He was supported well from the other end by Dr. Mehul Patel, who made 60 runs in 38 balls. With this outstanding partnership, teams posted a good score of 156 runs in 14 overs after losing 4 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Dr.Bharat Chaudhary from Radio Hectors with 2 wickets.
While replying, Radio Hectors didn’t manage to score well against the effective bowling by Surgical Spartans. Highest scorers were Dr. Divyang Dalwadi and Dr. Sachin Dhudharejiya with 20 runs each. All remaining players were restricted below 20 runs and team ended up scoring 105 runs at the end of 14 runs with the loss of 9 wickets. Almost all the bowlers of Surgical Spartans did a good job, but bowling highlight of the innings was Dr. Sandeep, who scalped 2 wickets in 2 overs giving 10 runs. Dr. Ronak Bodat and Dr. Poorav Patel too picked 2 wickets each damaging the batting line up of Radio Hectors completely.
Surgical Spartans displayed an all-round performance and registered a comfortable 51 runs win over Radio Hectors in the final of Advino SPL-3.
Dr. Shaishav Patel from Surgical Spartans was awarded as the player of the match.
