Lohana Cricket League 2018 was organized between 6th May’18 to 27th May’18 at Ahmedabad.
Out of 16 participant teams, the final was played between Lohana Warriors and Lohana Lions on 27th May’18 at Satnam Cricket Ground- Ahmedabad.
Lohana Lions won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Lohana Warriors started well with Keval Thakkar scoring 25 runs steadily. Chintan Thakkar and Tapanbhai Lohana too played well and added 19 and 24 runs respectively at good pace. Team posted 104 runs at the end of 16 overs by losing 8 wickets.
While chasing, Lohana Lions failed to score well against the strong bowling attack from Lohana Warriors and started to lose wickets from early overs. Highest scorer was Vinit Thakkar, who made 16 runs in 12 balls with 2 boundaries and 1 four. Malay Ghelani from Lohana Warriors was at his best as he picked 3 important wickets in 4 overs giving only 12 runs restricting Lohana Lions from reaching at the target. With a disappointing batting display, Lohana Lions closed the innings at the score of 66 runs in 16 overs with the loss of 6 wickets.
Lohana Warriors registered a comfortable 38 runs win over Lohana Lions in the final of Lohana Cricket League 2018.
Malay Ghelani from Lohana Warriors was awarded as the player of the match.
